To cap off the first week back to school, 92 Sultana Dragons took in a Dodgers baseball game this past Saturday afternoon. For the vast majority of students, this was a first-time experience getting a chance to visit a Major League ballpark and take part in the customs and traditions of America's favorite pastime. Students nestled into the shady confines of Dodger Stadium and enjoyed ballpark hot dogs, ice cream, and other tasty treats. Dragons also got the opportunity to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for the very first time during the 7th-inning stretch. Our presence was obviously
the deciding factor, Dragons on the jumbo screen cheered on the hometown Dodgers to an 8-4 victory. The trip was courtesy of the Los Angeles Dodgers Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball program which graciously provided Dodger tickets, t-shirts, transportation, and meal vouchers. Thanks to all who took part to make it a memorable day!
